CBA employs close to 5.7 thousand employees, that operate in the activities of mining, generation of electric energy, manufacture of aluminum and areas of administrative and commercial nature.

The tradition and culture of the company is to value the human resources, its greatest asset, without which, there is no point in implementing hi-tech, advanced equipment or any other productive effort.

With that spirit, CBA policies converge in three main focuses: permanent maintenance of professional recycling and re-qualification programs, offering elementary and high-school education through Telecurso 2000; training in operations, quality, work security, EDP and behavioral area.

By means of agreements with specialized companies, all the collaborators and their dependents receive medical care, hospital and dentist services, benefiting close to 12 thousand persons. In addition, part of the plant employees have supplementary settlement benefits, in a housing structure, constructed and maintained by initiative of the Company, since its foundation.
